Retailers already stocking our cards would notice that some feathery friends have shaken off their winter attire and have put on a rather cheery faces as sitting amongst spring foliage and fresh blooms. That’s right, we have added new designs to our popular range Fly and it has been much fun creating them.
The designs follow the same contemporary watercolours as original launch but updated with jewels and glitter dots. The new designs have everyday and age captions and they would help retailers refresh the store shelves for the birthdays and occasions now while their focus is still on the most important retail event in the calendar, Christmas. The cards are available to order as printed or handmade cards, both competitively priced.
To view the new designs and our new catalogue, please get in touch and we will be happy to send one along.
Male cards are notoriously difficult to design, so it was such a lovely news for us that our recently released male range Great Times just flew off the shelves…both ours and of our great retail customers.
So, I have been very busy designing some additions to that range and we have now released more than 40 NEW designs. Plenty of bold black typography and copper metallic keep the range fresh, on trend and striking. The designs cover milestone birthdays, family relations, additional open birthdays and open caption ‘Dad’ cards.
Naturally, all our cards are designed and manufactured in England.
Our retail customers get a sneak peek with our newsletter updates. If you are new to us and think your customers would love our cards, please make sure you get in touch. If require paper catalogue and a sample card, just let us know and we will be happy to send one.
Creatively, Christmas is one of the most difficult ranges to do. It is probably because it has been done over and over again but is also the one where experimenting is most restricted. People like traditional designs. What is a Christmas card without robin, Santa, snow, presents etc. Would you buy a Christmas card in pink, blue and yellow or would it be in green, red with gold and glitter?! The answer is that you might experiment with the colours but my wild guess is majority of people will buy the latter.
Christmas is also one of the most commercially justifiable worth spending time on design collections. Would there be a gift store, boutique, garden centre without a Christmas card selection?! Probably not. So, roll up your sleeves and get to designing lovely ranges.
This year, I have built on the success of my Fly range and decided to expand into Christmas. I have birds, birds, birds. As usual, I have experimented with ‘safe’ and with ‘wild’ designs. Some I know will sell well, others I think are a bit of a risk. However, they all help me understand my customers, old and new, so I can continue to create better greeting cards.
This blog post has just a tiny selection of what retailers have been ordering since February. They will be available for retail customers from August. Hope you like them and some of our cards are enjoyed by your loved ones.
I have been very busy designing and we have added more than 100 new designs for Spring 2017.
The new designs are across four new ranges, all with distinctive contemporary look. Fly is nature inspired, Charms is delicate and feminine, best-selling Bijoux has been expanded with over 50 new designs and last but not least, we now have a male range, Great Times. All typography is hand-lettered or trending brush-lettered.
The cards are across open birthdays, occasions and popular family relations. They are available to order now and most ranges can be ordered as a handmade or printed version. We proudly hand-illustrate, print and hand-finish our cards in England. Our FSC approved boards are from England and Italy and we pack with envelopes from Yorkshire.
A small selection of the new designs is available via our retail website or if you are a trade customer please ask us for a catalogue and a sample card and we will be happy to send one.
You could also view the new designs when visiting our stand 3W18 at our forthcoming exhibition, Spring Fair, 05-09 Feb 2017.
Autumn Fair is another ‘first time’ trade show for us this year. We will be at NEC, Birmingham from 04-07 September 2016.
For those who have never visited the show, it is a show to mark ‘near end’ of the trade buying season. It is a great opportunity for retailers to do last minute stock up on gifts and cards before the all important Christmas season.
We will be launching new seasonal ranges with never seen before designs, all based on the ever popular everyday range Bijoux. If you have not had the chance to view the range in person, please come along, you won’t be disappointed. Selected best-selling designs from other successful everyday ranges will be on show too.
Bijoux Christmas is not your average ‘red and glitter’ greeting card. It is elegant, glamorous and understated as it’s illustrations are monochrome and accentuated with gold paint, pink neon love hearts, unique cup floral jewels and organza bows.
Due to the success of the everyday Bijoux range we have added Bijoux Spring. With abundance of flowers, birds and lots Spring Season symbols, there’s surely something for everybody at Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter.
We proudly hand-illustrate, print and hand-finish our cards in England. Our FSC approved boards are from England and Italy and we pack our cards with envelopes from Yorkshire.
We would like to invite you to visit us on stand 4D26 to view the new ranges and take advantage of our show offer, which free delivery on all orders placed at the show. If you can’t make it, please get in touch for your trade catalogue and complimentary card .
See you at the show.
